This is the Website of Anja and Jan, we would like to let you know how we experience the pigeon sport. We live in Barger-Oosterveld a small neighborhood at the eastside of Emmen. The first time i came in contact with the pigeon sport in 1970. At that time I was sitting at one of the best playing from the North into the Association, none other than Margienus Oostenbrink from Spier. After many years i had no pigeons i got the pigeon virus again in 1996, by my friend and pigeons buddy W. Veenstra from Erica. Soon i wanted a private loft with pigeons and via M. Oostenbrink, B. Huisman and W. Veenstra I got for the first time my own pigeons. By my fanaticism I managed to get from the beginning to put down some nice performance including a 2nd NPO Troyes against 19000 pigeons and two years later still a 10th NPO on Troyes, both half brothers of each other. These two cocks were from a cock that I had received from M. Oostenbrink. After a temporary stop by private circumstances, I am pleased that I have been able to pick up the thread again. In 2008 I started again with the youngsters and the unthinkable happened on the natour with a paramyxovirus despite all the inoculations. Almost all youn pigeons died wich I had extracted from eggs at Koen Minderhoud. After that, I go and live together in 2010, where I together with Anja pigeon racing with lots of fun practice. Anja has especially the young guard under her wings and carried out hand during the overall care. We fly in section 10, where we have to compete against a huge competition with oa. Koopman, Vredeveld, etc. Pigeon racing is for us a wonderful hobby. We look to the future in good spirits despite the huge nationwide drop in the pigeon sport. Further, we will keep you informed of the entire season via the news page. In 2012 we have participated in for the first time an international One Loft Race in Germany where we on the 2nd race equal a 1st packed against 1368 pigeons on Oyten, a great performance where we are very proud of and also a beautiful ending of the season 2012.
